SOAFI awards 170 scholarships equaling $700,000

Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation (SOAFI) awards 170 scholarships equaling $700,000 to students during the SOAFI Scholarship Awards Ceremony.

Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation (SOAFI) welcomed a packed house at the Meyer Hall auditorium for its annual Scholarship Awards Night. With more than 400 students, donors, faculty and family members in attendance, the Foundation presented 170 scholarships to students worth $700,000 in funding.

Dreyfoos School of the Arts (DSOA) Principal Blake Bennett welcomed students and families and expressed how incredibly proud she is of the students at Dreyfoos and the amazing accomplishments they have achieved in the short two and half years she has been Principal at DSOA. Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation’s Major Gifts Officer, John Richards presented the scholarships and students' had the opportunity to thank the donor, who also attended the ceremony.

Students from Dreyfoos School of the Arts will be going on to attend some of the most prestigious universities and colleges in the country, including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, M.I.T., NYU, Duke, Rhode Island School of Design,  Columbia, Tufts, University of Florida, and UCLA just to name a few. Scholarships help alleviate some of the monetary struggles with tuition prices that many students face when heading off to college. We are incredibly thankful for all our supporters and the 170 scholarships that have been set up to help these students achieve their dreams.

The Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation provides support for the arts and academic curriculum at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, a public arts high school, named #90 out of nearly 18,000 public high schools in the nation, among the eleven best schools in Florida, and the #2 public school in Palm Beach County.
