Investing in the School of the Arts Foundation’s Endowment
As the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation’s endowment grows, so does its capacity to transform bold ideas into life-changing realities for the Dreyfoos School of the Arts. By contributing to the School of the Arts Foundation’s endowment, supporters are able to provide enduring sources of funding for the people, programs, and activities they care about and wish to nurture. Because the principal is not spent and a portion of the income is reinvested, an endowment lasts in perpetuity. Every gift to endowment, no matter the size, will allow the Foundation to achieve our greatest goals in the coming decades and have an impact for generations to come.
The School of the Arts Foundation now has two endowment options. The first is the Foundation’s endowment now stands at $8.5 million and produces income that provides for such items as scholarships, art supplies, technology, science, and general support.
The second endowment was begun in the fall of 2015 and is housed at the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin County. This endowment is managed by the Community Foundation’s group of professional advisors. Having an endowment at the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin County allows the School of the Arts Foundation access to the various planned gift tools that would otherwise not be available to a smaller organization. It also gives donors another option of where to invest their gift. Click here to access our endowment information at the Community Foundation.
Funds to either endowment can be donated to support a specific program, art/academic area or can be given to the general endowment fund which allows the Foundation to direct the portion of the income to areas of greatest need.
Just think, an endowment of $25,000,000 would provide support in perpetuity to ensure the Dreyfoos School of the Arts continues its excellence in arts educaton. For more information on endowment gifts please contact the Foundation office at 561-805-6298 or via email.
