The Artist in Residence Program at the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts is an integral part of our renowned arts curriculum. Artists in Residence instruct students on a daily basis offering firsthand knowledge of a working artist. This program is made possible by you – our Dreyfoos families and dedicated community members.
Funded solely by contributions to the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation; each year we are tasked with the mission of raising $400,000 to maintain the Artist in Residence Program. Through donations from readers like you to the 2015-2016 Campaign for the Arts, a generous grant from the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, and a matching gift from the Foundation Board of Directors that goal has been reached for the 2015-2016 school year.
The Dreyfoos School of the Arts has hired 22 Artists in Residence for the this school year. These invaluable artists teach Film, Television, Voice, Music Theory, Sound Design, Stagecraft, Printmaking, Drawing, 2D and 3D Design, Sculpture, Ballet, and Jazz. Dreyfoos would not be an art school without these instructors and without these classes.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our Dreyfoos Students!
