On April 19th, the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation hosted the first annual Dreyfoos Visionaries Luncheon at Pistache French Bistro sponsored by TD Wealth. This luncheon honored and inducted those whom have included the foundation in their estate plans into the group of Dreyfoos Visionaries, and recognized lifetime donors. Legacy donors were honored with a special memento that included a piece of architectural detail from the award-winning Dreyfoos production of Romeo and Juliet. Lifetime donors were given a lapel pin signifying major funding to the foundation to support the arts and academic curriculum at the school.

Those honored not only included school namesake Alex Dreyfoos, but also Foundation Board Members, community supporters, and an alumna, Lauren Murphy (Class of 1994, Visual Arts), who works in Philadelphia teaching kids art. Lauren felt so impacted by her time at Dreyfoos that she named the Foundation as a beneficiary of her will. Legacy gifts of all sizes, small and large, make a huge impact on the future of this internationally recognized school.

Alex Dreyfoos spoke at the luncheon and said he is continually impressed with the students at the public arts high school, both in terms of their accomplishments in the arts and in their high level of academic achievement. “Those who excel in the arts often excel in science and critical thinking,” he said. “Investing in the students at Dreyfoos is investing in a brighter future for us all.”

  • Include the Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement plan (IRA, 401K, etc.)
  • Open a Charitable Gift Annuity
