On Saturday, November 14, 2015, five-hundred supporters of the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation gathered on the 500 block of Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach for the third annual Dreyfoos in White. The secret location had been revealed and the block was strung with lights as guests arrived, donned in white. Dreyfoos strings students played while people set up their extravagant tablescapes. This was the best attended year yet – thanks in part to the many community supporters and table sponsors.

Allison Haft, a Platinum Sponsor and Dreyfoos in White committee member said of supporting the event that “It is a great party -- more fun than anyone should have at a fundraiser, and with entertainment provided by Dreyfoos students! Every year, the enormous talent at the school amazes me more, and seeing firsthand the results of our support is inspiring. It’s a huge and immediate reward for a very small effort!”

The West Palm Beach Arts and Entertainment District was among our many enthusiastic sponsors – filling three tables with members of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and their guests.

Raphael Clemente, President of the (DDA) said “The most important thing about this event is that it joins together the people of our community in supporting a great local cause – the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation. Being a sponsor for Dreyfoos in White is just a small way we can show our support to a school that brings an immeasurable amount of value to our community.”

Dreyfoos parents and supporters went over the top with their table décor, the Dreyfoos Jazz Band and student band Jumbo Shrimp entertained guests, and alumni DJ Brad Barfield got everyone out of their seats for a congo line that encircled the entire block.

Thanks to the participation and involvement of all our attendees, sponsors, and performers, the School of the Arts Foundation was able to raise $37,000 to support the arts and academic programs at Dreyfoos.

On supporting the Foundation, Allison Haft discussed the long term benefits. “The Foundation’s efforts allow Dreyfoos to attract world class instructors from around the country. Their guidance results in some very talented Dreyfoos graduates becoming the next generation of leaders and contributors in Palm Beach County. Our whole community benefits from this in immeasurable ways.”

Next year, we hope even more friends and supporters will join us for Dreyfoos in White – the only question is, where will we pop-up next?
