We are honored to announce that our Dreyfoos School of the Arts Jazz Ensemble 1 has been selected as one of 30 WORLD finalists for the 30th Essentially Ellington Competition and Festival in New York City! This prestigious honor is a testament to the dedication, talent, and hard work of our students,as well as the unwavering support of our parents, administration, and community. The financial commitment required for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is substantial. The total cost of our trip to New York City is slightly more than $55,000 covering expenses such as hotel accommodations, airfare, meals, transportation, and festival fees. Despite our best efforts to offset these costs through various fundraising initiatives, we still require additional support to ensure that every student has the opportunity to participate regardless of financial constraints.
