More than 350 young and young-at-heart supporters of the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts dressed in white and brought outlandish table décor with them as they traveled to the top of the CityPlace Macy’s parking garage on Nov. 12 for the 2014 Dreyfoos in White pop-up dinner. The secret location was kept under wraps until one hour before the event, with ticket holders notified of the location by text message, email and social media. The event was modeled after Diner en Blanc held annually for more than 25 years in Paris, France.

Organized largely by Dreyfoos School of the Arts alumni and their friends, this over-the-top event benefitted the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation. The night of non-stop fun began with everyone participating in the “napkin twirl” toast of white napkins provided by sponsor Pioneer Linens. One of the many highlights of the evening was a flash mob dance performed by Dreyfoos band and dance students. Dinner ended with everyone lighting the night with sparklers, signaling the start of dancing to the music of Dreyfoos alumni band Girlfriend Material.
