The Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, a tuition free, donation dependent public high school is able to provide its advanced level of academics and unique artistic opportunities only by supplementing the school’s budget with private funds. These funds come from individuals, foundations and community business leaders who realize that sound financial investments should be made in schools such as the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, where high returns are generated for the community.

Ray of Light Fund
The Dreyfoos School of the Arts enrolls students from all areas of Palm Beach County. Many of these talented students are from low to moderate income families. Your support provides funding for items such as art supplies, ballet slippers, music instruments, assistance for off-site learning opportunities, art/music lessons and scholarships for summer study or college. The philosophy behind the establishment of this fund is to supply financially needy students with a small ray of light to provide hope and encouragement through the funding of needs and opportunities that would otherwise not be obtainable.

Scholarships provide assistance for college or summer institutes. The School of the Arts Foundation administers numerous scholarship funds supporting a variety of purposes. These are descibed on the Scholarship page. You can donate to an established scholarship or create one with your own criteria. Endowed scholarships beginning at $25,000 are a wonderful way to continue your gift for generations to come. Alumni Scholarship Fund
In 2008 the Alumni Scholarship Fund was established by graduates of Dreyfoos to support the next generation of artists. This annual scholarship is awarded to a college bound senior who exhibits financial need. Through the support of School of the Arts Alumni the fund has disbursed 6 scholarships totaling $5,500.

Angels and Artists
In honor of Alumni who have passed away we would like to announce the establishment of the Angels and Artists Fund. This fund will allow us to celebrate the joy of our angels who have passed away, while at the same time, help to support the young artists who are trying to find their way in this world. The Angels and Artists Fund will support scholarships for Dreyfoos students. It's never easy to lose a friend but with the Angels and Artists Fund their legacy will live on.

The Dreyfoos Math, Science and Technology Endowment Fund
In 2007 the Renate and Alexander Dreyfoos Endowment Fund for the Advancement of Math, Science and Technology was established at the School of the Arts Foundation to advance the Dreyfoos School’s capability and reputation in the science and math fields. The goal of this fund is to help raise student performance in the areas of math, science and technology.
In perpetuity, the Dreyfoos Endowment Fund will help equip and enhance the school’s math and science departments through teacher training, the provision of materials/supplies and updated technology. With additional contributions by Mr. and Mrs. Dreyfoos and others in the community who support excellence in education, the Dreyfoos Fund continues to grow and is now over $289,000.

Adopt A Class
Adopt A Class is one way an individual or business can financially support the students, teachers and families of Dreyfoos. The program partners donors with teachers so they can have funds to purchase critical resources and materials for the classroom.

Project Graduation is a substance free party given by the families at the Dreyfoos School to the graduating class to safely celebrate their graduation night. Graduates are treated to a night of fun, games, prizes and entertainment. Approximately $20,000 must be raised each year to produce the event.

Principal Atherley's "School Spirit Fund" raises money for projects that show the teachers and students at Dreyfoos they are loved and appreciation! From inviting students to have lunch with the principal to providing the Thanksgiving luncheon for the faculty, these activities promote goodwill throughout the school.
