A Legacy of Giving

The Lattner Family Foundation, headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida, is a family foundation with a long history of giving. The Lattner Family Foundation carries on the legacy of their founder, Forrest C. Lattner, by supporting non-profits in the community, such as the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation.

Fund Manager Patty Gerhart talked about why the Lattner Family Foundation loves giving to Dreyfoos every year, “We first gave to the Dreyfoos School of the Arts in 2014 and knew it was an exceptional school, but what we didn’t realize until later was how much you have to offer to the deserving students and what an investment in the future of our community that Dreyfoos offers.”

This year the Lattner Family Foundation gave the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation a $20,000 grant. Patty said, “Not only do you provide a high-quality arts education but you change the lives of children. We have attended several events at Dreyfoos and have always come away with so much joy and excitement of what we just experienced, and to know it is right here in our hometown.”

The Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation’s mission is to enhance the arts and academic programs at the Alexnader W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts. The Lattner Family Foundation grant has helped make this possible. “We have always been a supporter of the Arts in Palm Beach County and Education has also been one of our main areas of giving. Dreyfoos has combined these two elements together in a wonderful way. The Guest Artist Program, we feel, is an important tool as it offers students a different prospective. It shows students what can be accomplished in their lives when they graduate from Dreyfoos as well as being a motivational tool.”

The Lattner Family Foundation has helped change the lives of so many students. The Foundation and our students at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts will always be grateful for their support.  

Patty said, “For us, supporting the School of the Arts will give students access to experiences they may otherwise not be a part of.”
